Acoustic Ceiling Baffles and Suspended Sound Absorption
QUNAS acoustic ceiling baffles are suspended acoustic panels designed to hang vertically from ceiling structures. They are one of the most effective solutions for controlling reverberation in large open spaces where wall treatment alone is insufficient , including open-plan offices, restaurants, canteens, sports halls and reception areas.
How Ceiling Baffles Work
Ceiling baffles are suspended in rows at ceiling level. Sound waves strike both faces of each baffle, making them highly efficient absorbers per unit of material. Because they work in the vertical plane, they do not require any wall space and can be installed above existing furniture, equipment or other ceiling services.
Acoustic Performance
Our Ceiling Baffles achieve NRC ratings of 0.50 - 1 depending on the profile, Additional core material and installation method. They are most effective across the mid and high frequency range (125Hz - 8kHz), making them well suited to controlling speech intelligibility and room reverberation in commercial and residential spaces.
Suitable For
Open-plan offices, restaurants, canteens, school halls, sports facilities, hotel lobbies and any large space with a hard ceiling and noise problem.

FAQ’S
What is the difference between an acoustic ceiling baffle and a ceiling raft? Baffles hang vertically from the ceiling; rafts are horizontal panels suspended below the ceiling. Both reduce reverberation but baffles are often used where space between fixtures is limited.
How much coverage do I need? This depends on the size of the room and the target reverberation time. As a general guide, acoustic treatment should cover 25% of the total room surface area. We can calculate the exact requirement for your space.
Can they be custom coloured? QUNAS baffles are available in a range of colours and finishes to match your interior.
